Licensed Site Measures
Mandatory bag checks at the door by contracted security.
ID check and wristbanding at a separate table from ticket scanning. Government-issued photo ID required. 19+ only.
Clickers maintain a running count at all times. Capacity capped at 350.
Patrons may redeem a maximum of 2 drinks at a time. Intoxicated patrons may have wristbands cut.
Emergency exit (east side) clear and compliant at all times.
Security, bar staff, and organizers proactively offer water at their discretion.
All bartenders hold SIR certification and actively monitor patrons.
Bag checks at main entry gate. No bags larger than 30cm × 15cm × 30cm.
No outside alcohol. Small amounts of non-alcoholic beverages permitted for medical or religious reasons only. No glass or metal bottles.
No narcotics. Prescription medications must be in properly labelled containers matching holder's ID.
No weapons or objects that could be used as weapons.
No fireworks, pyrotechnics, or flammable liquids.
No drones. No cameras with removable lenses or selfie sticks.
No laser pointers, air horns, or artificial noise makers.
Certified service animals permitted with documentation and security supervisor approval.
Code of Conduct & Eviction Policy
Alimentaria Mexicana, Paradise Cultural Society and UV are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Unacceptable conduct is subject to immediate ejection:
Threatening, offensive, or abusive language or behaviour toward any attendees, artists, or staff.
Discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, or any other ground.
Fighting, violence, or threatening behaviour of any kind.
Intoxication or impairment due to alcohol or controlled substances.
Possession of weapons, illegal substances, or prohibited items.
Any conduct deemed by organizers to be unsafe or disruptive.
All staff operate on a "see something, say something" protocol.
Site Evacuation & Emergency Procedures
Safety Team: Lead Event Organizer Matthew Owchar (778-960-0870) and the Heathrow Security lead, supported by Ernesto Gomez (778-222-0253) and Alimentaria Mexicana staff.
Safety Team contacts Security, Production, and Bar Teams to begin evacuation.
911 called immediately.
Music stopped. PA announcement directs patrons to evacuate via south gate (main) and east emergency exit.
Security opens south fencing and east emergency exit. Bar and food areas secured.
Sound and lighting technicians shut off all equipment immediately.
Access road cleared for emergency vehicles.
First aid attendant manages sick or injured patrons; calls for ambulance if required.
Post-evacuation: full site sweep, all staff report to muster point for roll call.

Weather Contingency
Interior pavilion of Ocean Artworks is a covered structure accommodating the full audience in the event of rain.
Exterior west patio features tents over the bistro, bar stations, and seating areas. In heavy rain, attendees may shelter under patio tents or move to the interior pavilion.
DJ booth and all electrical equipment are within the covered interior structure — protected from weather at all times.
All cable runs covered with cable ramps and waterproof tape regardless of weather.
Overnight Storage & Site Security Between Nights
No valuables or equipment left on site overnight (May 8→9, May 9→10).
PA speakers transported to Alimentaria Mexicana for secure storage each night post-event.
Gates to the Ocean Artworks structure are locked overnight, providing a secondary layer of site security.
No overnight security staff required at Ocean Artworks.
Fencing remains in place overnight (installed May 7, struck May 11).
Liquor, Ticketing & Licensing
All tickets sold in advance via Resident Advisor. Ticket scanning at main entry gate (south).
All patrons wishing to drink alcohol will be braceleted at the front door upon ID check.
All bartenders and servers hold valid Serving It Right (SIR) certification.
A Special Event Permit (LCRB) will be in place prior to each event date.
Patrons may purchase a maximum of 2 alcoholic beverages at a time.
Water stations available throughout: bar ends, ticket/entry area, and food station — free of charge.
Harm reduction supplies and information available at the first aid station near main entry.
Traffic & Transportation
Event communications and ticketing pages include transit directions, cycling routes, and parking information.
Attendees encouraged to use public transit (routes 50/84), cycle, or rideshare.
Loading zone in front of Ocean Artworks used for load-in (May 7) and strike (May 11). Max 3–5 vehicles at a time.
